In my opinion, that would make it a lot easier to find files. For example, if you were looking for a file whose name began with "J," and you were already in the L's, you would know you had gone to far. As it is, you really don't know the order of the files and sometimes have to arrow through the entire list to find the one you are looking for. Thanks.
