That has been discussed, and I think the consensus was the volume of the speech had been raised all it could be.

Is there any way the volume of the speech could be raised to more approximate the average audio file?

I have received a similar message twice. This occurred when I tried to stop the BP from playing an mp3 file and again
when I tried to stop an audible book. I couldn't catch the line numbers, since the sound of the audio drowned them out.

Hi Sharron.

How did you make Book Port announce that error message. Were you
reading, or navigating, or is this what happened when you unplugged from
the USB port?

After loading 11 folders with an average of 9 HTML files in each, I
received
the following message (Firm ware error condition in APH support.C at
line
137 press the 0 key to reset bookport). Unlike the message I reported
yesterday, pressing the 0 did reset the unit. Not a big deal since it
reset
in both instances, however, it is definitely something new since
installing
this beta.
