I'd certainly be interested in any updates anybody can make to the BC. I've
had mine about six months or so, and had I known they were going to
discontinue updates to it at the time I bought it, I would probably have
opted for the Book Port. Ah well, you can't win them all can you? Smiles!

Sure you could. The firmware is just programmed in whatever. Change the
programming, you change the BC. For example one feature I think would be
neat is to have it update the time from your computer, you plug it in, and
it grabs the time off of the computer and sets it. Sort of means you have
to have your computer's time set accurately, but there are programs
that'll sync to an atomic clock for that.
