I wonder if the state of the battery rechargeable or nonrechargeable setting
could be saved along with other settings like speech rate, voice etc. I doubt
we'll ever reach consensus regarding which state should be
default. But once you set it to your preference, why doesn't it stay that way
through battery changes? If you properly shut the bc down before changing
batteries, why doesn't that setting stick?
