Alternatives to Bookcourier in the same price range are the Humanware Stream and the yet not released palm sized Plextalk. More flexible but also much more expensive are the Levelstar ICON andAPH Braille Plus http://www.levelstar.com All these devices use SD cards. Compact Flash cards are now mostly used in professional or semi-professional grade electronics because of their sturdy mechanical packages, but are fast disappearing from the more consumer oriented prods. I'm lovin' my BookCourier, of course. I'm leavin' to look for another possibile accessible book/music reader. I belong to several lists and also work, so I can't keep up with the emails. When I read these emails about the end of the BookCourier, I was really disappointed. I was looking forward to a new and improved one. I really love and value the BookCourier. I hated the transfer tool though. I will use mine until I can't anymore. One question I have, however. What to do with all my flash cards? Are there any other machines out there I can use them on? I guess I'll remain on this list in case something comes up. I can dream, can't I? Thanks to all for your help and support.
