Also I have been advised by Springer that rechargeables are somewhat larger than nonrechargeable batteries and can sometimes damage the battery connectors. This happened to me and I needed repairs done.I now always use nonrechargeables for this reason not wanting to riks a similar problem. I had always been careful to place the batteries in the compartment properly however still the larger batteries must have been hard on the connectors.
