The real disappointment is that we were promised so much and are now in danger
of getting nothing. As the good book has it, "hope deferred maketh the heart
sick."

  Hi,

As with everyone else, I am disappointed over how Springer have handled this
latest set-back and seriously wonder if the BC now has a future! There are two
facets of the BC which, to my mind, are far superior to those of the Victor
Reader Stream.

Firstly, the BC is so, so much slicker in its use; for example, pressing key
5 on the BC immediately tells you the information you want whereas with the VR
Stream, you have to wade through the unwanted verbiage of the description of
the key first. There are many other examples of this slickness vs unweildiness
in other areas, too. As far as I can see, there is no way to customise the VR
Stream to cut down on prompts, etc but, I apologise if I have missed this in
the documentation somewhere!

Secondly, the internal clock; the VR Stream simply doesn't have one!

I know this is the BC list but I would appreciate it if someone could let me
know of anywhere I can read up on the upcoming features in the Stream in the
hopes that my above dislikes have been addressed.

  Thanks in anticipation.

  Regards
