Atkins have the opportunity to stop the privatization process and

I thought it would be appropriate to share this video with OBOL. The
Elliott State Forest was where Kim Nelson spent several years
researching Marbled Murrelets. Coos County first and only Hooded
Warbler was found by Justin Bosler when he was working doing Murrelet
survey work.
Many thanks to Steve Holt and Joe Metzler two of the many people working
tirelessly to try and save the forest from being sold to a private
timber company which could happen within a few weeks. See the link below
for more information and a short video.
Tim
Please share this as widely as you wish, particularly to friends who
live in the state of Oregon so we can save this lovely forest from sale
to a private party who will cut much of the old growth. Anyone can help
save this forest but Oregonians will probably have the most impact. The
PDF version will continue to be freely available until a decision is
made on whether to sell the forest which could come in mid December, so
time is very tight.
My new book Mountains in the Clouds, Oregon's Elliott State Forest can
be downloaded for free as a PDF or bought as a print book at this link -

Steve Holt
