Don,
Duck is a wonderful guy and worked with him at Skip Barbers. Truly one of
the original Bobsy racing icons.

Subject: A Bobsy Talk Email: Re: An Offer From Duck Waddle - Road America
Expertise
Bob,
Thanks for the introduction to Duck. I raced in the PCA races at Road America
last Labor Day weekend, and really enjoyed the track and town. I was fortunate
to drive my friend's Porsche 944 Turbo race car in the Sprint races, while he
drove his new Cayman GT4 Clubsport factory race car. I drove the Clubsport in
the morning session on Labor Day, and we co-drove the 944T in one of the
Enduro's to 4th in Class.
So, I decided to run my Bobsy-Porsche there in the Hawk Vintage races next
July. We are on the wait list for a room at the Osthoff, as there are NO hotels
available within 15 miles of the track. Now, to figure out how to get my
trailer and car from San Diego to RA, and back to Monterey for the Reunion in
August.

This is an offer from the legendary Duck Waddle. For those of
you who don't know, Duck has raced Bobsy Sports Racers for more
years than anyone really knows. However in 2010, after 60 years of
racing, he decided to give up regular racing. He sold his last
Bobsy to Trevor Seckel, now racing it the UK. In fact, it turns out,
Duck owned my SR-3 twice in its history! As I said, he
has a long history of racing Bobsy cars.
Some of Duck's other racing credentials are that during the
summer he raced all over the place, but in the winters he was a regular
instructor at in Arizona. Not a bad life, Since 2010, and not doing
regular races anymore, he now takes up permanent summer residence at
Road America, actually staying on the grounds in his RV. Sort of
a resident guru, if you will. Here's a neat YouTube video of him in his
Bobsy, at Road America.

Anyway, Duck is making a great offer to any Bobsy owner who might be
racing at Road America. For racers, he's got a DVD and his personal
notes and tips for negotiating the track. Even if just at Road
America as a spectator, or if racing you have some spectating crew, also
feel free to look him up and he'll give you the chef's tour of
RA. Here's his offer:
"AT ABSOLUTELY NO COST TO YOU. YES, FREE. I just might be able to
help you have more enjoyment and have quicker lap times at Road
America. I am Duck Waddle and I have been teaching Race Car
Driving at Road America every summer since 1987. Also twenty
plus years with the Skip Barber Racing School and with the
track for the last 9 years. Yes, I raced Bobsys for a bunch of years.
In the summer I live on the property at Road America. As you come down
the steps of the registration building, look straight ahead
and you will see the rear of my tan motorhome parked next to the
safety building garage.
"Or call me anytime on my cell phone, 440 725 3183. I look forward to
hearing from you and perhaps giving you some speed secrets or
tips on Road America.
"Duck Waddle"
Cheers,
Bob Alder
