Don't think you can really specify output levels for things like webpage content, etc., and, suppose am just used to it by now.

The one irritation that I notice quite often is when I open a message in thunderbird, it might try read the message window title/subject to me twice, but, suppose just got used to it enough that hit ctrl automatically, without thinking about it nowadays.

And, yes, wish that during read/say all in something like a webpage, it wouldn't necessarily always announce headings, links, etc., and, could possibly do something like just use sounds to announce them during say all, like jaws offers, but, like said, have just gotten used to it.

Hi all

Nvda repeats itself a lot and I think I read somewhere that they were trying to correct that, but so far I haven’t found it gone.

My question is. How can I get nvda to give me as little feedback as possible when alt tabbing from open program to document to whatever.

I already told it not to read page in internet programs and I don’t want to hear headings, lists and so on, except links.

I think it has to do with getting older. I get anxious, worked up, or nervous, or whatever, lol, when it talks so much. I use the control to silence speech, but I wish I knew how to make the speech less.

I understand that the idea of a screen reader is to tell you what is happening. I am only trying and hoping for advice.

Thanks much.
