Hi Jacob.
A normal full stop = dot 2 5 6
Capital = 6
In a URL =4 6
I saw the the signs in Braille for a web address is generally as follows:
Beginning and end of web addresses has a special sign:
Example:
Dot 4 5 6, and then dots 3 4 6.
Then follows "WWW"
Dot =Dots 4 6
"blindza"
dot =4 6
"co"
dot =4 6
"ZA"
Then, to end everything off, at the end of the address:
Dots 4 5 6, and then dots 1 5 6.
Example:
"(456)(346)"www"46"blindza"46"co"46"za"(456)(156)"
The "at" sign is normally just a dot 4.
Hope this helps.
Dewald

Subject: [blindza] Simple/basic braille question - again
If I am right that normally either a full stop, or a capitalisation character
would be dot 6 in basic/standard, English braille, what would be used to render
it in the middle of a word/website address?
As in, if I wanted to write the following in braille:
blindza.co.za
What would be used to represent/write the period/full stop symbols inbetween
blindza co and za?
Thanks in advance
Jacob Kruger
