HI JACOB,
I OFTEN SEE ROES OF WRITTEN WRITING AS WELL AS PRINTED LETTERS. IT JUST ROLES
ON AND ON.MOSTLY, NOW, THOUGH I CAN NOT MAKE OUT WHAT IT SAYS. JUST AS IF I AM
TRYING TO READ IT BUT, THE PRINT IS JUST TOO, SMALL FOR ME TO MAKE OUT. FUNNY,
A LOT OF TIMES IT IS THE TYPE OF PRINT THAT THEY USE IN THE BIBLE. .. BUT, ..,
I NEED TO READ THE MESSAGE BUT JUST CAN NOT MAKE IT OUT.
I HAVE GOT A VERY GOOD IMAGINATION AS WELL. I EXPERIENCE IT IN FULL COLOR ALL
THOU, WITH THE BIT OF SIGHT THAT I HAVE LEFT, I CAN NOT SEE COLOR, ANY MORE.
SOME TIMES I SIT AND WANT TO SEE SOME THING WITH MY BRAIN BUT THEN THE THING
DOES NOT WANT TO GIVE IT TO ME AND AT OTHER TIMES I KEEP ON SEEING FACES OF
PEOPLE THAT, HAS LONG GONE
I WISH WITH ALL MY HEART THAT I COULD GO FOR THE STEMCELL IMPLANTS, THAT THEY
ARE TALKING ABOUT, WHILE I'VE GOT SOME, A DROP, OF VISION LEFT. I AM TERRIFIED
TO THINK THAT IT IS SLOWLY DISAPPEARING. IT IS LIKE A LONG, VERY LONG
NIGHTMARE THAT I JUST CAN NOT GET OUT OF.
LOL! ...LOL!
MAGDA FELGATE.
WOEFIES, WAFFIES! ME

I am 100% blind, but still have a lot of imagination as well as a slightly
diffferent approach to certain things...<smile>.

I also did use to have a certain percentage of photographic vision which I
suppose might be related to how I still visualise pictures of things even if
have never seen them as such - I literally have a picture in my brain of the
basic braille alphabet in black raised dots on a piece of white paper, with
thin blue lines that I sometimes sort of compare to what it feels like...LOL!

And that's where I hadn't even really, consciously known that braille was
actually dots in any sort of arrangement close to what it really is - thought
it was more of a tactile version of morse code or something.

Anyway, who knows - not me - and that's why am asking this on the list to see
if anyone has felt/seen/experienced anything similar as such.

  Stay well

    HEY JACOB,
I THOUGHT THAT YOU ARE ALL TOGETHER BLIND. IS IT, SO?DO YOU KNOW THAT I
STILL LOOK UP TO TRY TO SEE A BIRD WEN I HEAR IT CHIRP. ONE DAY MY EYES MIGHT
SURPRISE ME. I THINK THAT IF YOU COULD SEE LIKE US, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT NOT
TO CONJURE IMAGES UP FOR YOUR SELF AS YOU THINK THINGS SHOULD LOOK LIKE. SOME
TIMES I THINK OF SOMETHING LOOKING LIKE SO, AND WHEN I FEEL, IT I AM A BIT
SHOCKED TO SEE WHAT SHAPE IT HAS.
    IT STAYS VERY INTERESTING, THOUGH.
TO TRY TO FEEL HOW FAR AN OBJECT, IS FROM YOU WITH OUT SEEING IT, WHERE
SOME ONE, JUST PUT IT, ALSO STAYS A CHALLENGE TO ME. IT IS AS IF WE HAVE TO
PROOF SOME THING TO OUR SELVES OR TEST OUR SELVES ALL THE TIME. I CAN STILL
SEE A BIT AND AT TIMES IT IS VERY CONFUSING. I CAN NOT SEE IN BRIGHT LIGHT AT
ALL. IF I SIT INFRONT OF MY COMPUTER AND SOME ONE SITS NEXT TO ME THAT HAS TO
READ ON THE SCREEN, IT FEELS AS IF A HOT COLE BURNS INTO MY EYES.
I DO NOT KNOW, BUT TO ME IT FEELS AS IF PEOPLE WANTS TO JUDGE US BY HOW
QUICK WE ADAPT TO DIFFERENT SITUATIONS AND, OH YES, OF CAUSE, WE MUST REMEMBER
EVERY BODIES VOICE, DOES NOT MATTE WHAT NOISE IS IN THE BACK GROUND OR HOW LONG
AGO WE'VE HAD A CONVERSATION WITH THEM. YOU KNOW, NOW THAT WE CAN NOT SEE, WE
ARE THESE, SUPER DUPER HUMAN BEINGS. HAHA,HEHEHEHAHAHA! LITTLE DO THEY KNOW
UNDE WHAT STRAIN WE HAVE TO PERFORM FOR THEM, EVERY DAY!TELL ME MORE IF YOU
STUMBLE ON TO SOMETHING NEW!
GO WELL MY FRIEND AND INZY, WOEF WAFF!.
    MAGDA AND LIARA, FELGATE.

Another thing the therapist in the UK tested my eyes with in 2006 was to
see how they reacted to some really strong reading glasses, even though I'm a
B1.

In any case, to this day, if I put on reading glasses, it's like when in
sighted days you'd feel your pupils changing shape/trying to adapt focus, etc.,
and even then it was a little uncomfortable, and to this day it still feels
rather similar.

Now just wondering if this is just due to my body reacting to an old
memory, or is the light passing through these lenses affecting literally only
the pupils/eyes themselves, as opposed to the brain reacting to the now
different visual signal coming through?

Also, this is not something I tried in bright lights, where I suppose it
could be almost like focusing light on the eye like a magnifying glass since
that's basically what most of the cheapish reading glasses are similar to, but
did make sure tried it out in at least some light to see if that affected the
reaction at all - did a bit, but I knew had turned the lights on myself as such.

I do also have another pair of normal short-sighted glasses, and my eyes
do also seem to react differently to them even if I try to make sure I don't
know which is which before hand if that makes sense - they make me feel like my
eyes are changing focus, but not so uncomfortably as such.

This is just another slightly irrelevant question that have been
wondering about for some time, and, FWIW, the guy in the UK reckoned he was
using it to test if my eyes were in fact still passing some or other
semi-subconscious type of signal through to my brain, although it wasn't being
recognised/noticed as such etc. etc.

This whole thing relating to unnecessary reading glasses being somewhat
uncomfortable especially if looking at things further away than a book right in
front of you will also, most likely only make sense to previously sighted guys.

Lastly, the other thing the guy in UK tested me with was different
coloured sunglasses, of the same shapes, and he reckons I got those colours
right roundabout 80% of the time as well FWIW.

      Stay well
