Pretty close, but, one of the primary ideas whould like is an actual motion
sensor, so that, for example, even if what it was attached to was moved, but
not out of range, it would still trigger the audio output, and, would
specifically want the target item to be the one emitting the audio output, if
that makes sense, so that, to think of a silly example, if your dog got hold of
it and tried to take it somewhere, you'd have an audio sound to follow to help
you re-obtain it, or something..?
I know this would work in a similar way to the object location key rings, but,
main thing was thinking about was specifically the motion sensor trigger, and
the target item being the audio source, as such.

i have a such type gadget that will warn me if something is moved out of
range, this is good for many things like bags, etc, and even children.
it is a two piece bit of kit, which includes:
1 x small transmitter [ about the size of a key ring]
1 x reciever [ about the six=ze of a match box[
turn the two units on and they start to work. if the transmitter moves out
of range [ selectiable via a simple slider switch] then the reciever will start
to bleep,/ flash.
when you are with in range again, the unit will stop bleeping etc.
not sure if this is what you are looking for.

Also reminds me, I meant to try out/test my KSonar on a flat surface,
like a carpet, to then try locating something like coins, keys etc., but, for
example, for something like a bright object lying in the open, the vOICe would
actually be perfect.
And, with regards to liquid level indicator, maybe, yes, something with a
form of float/lever idea might work, but, nope, I don't drink coffee out of any
mugh that large...LOL again!

Why do the cleaners always leave their trolleys exactly where the door entrance
is supposed to be? OK, I understand; whenever I hit a trolley, it tells me
where the door opening is, so now I have found it at last... And, as for your
mechanical liquid indicator; look inside the tank of any toilet; you'll see a
big ball, floating in the water; is that the kind of thing you're thinking

Two things that came up in mind today, for whatever reason, are,
wondering why there aren't liquid level indicators/pouring sensors that work
sort of mechanically, instead of based on electronic circuits?
This is because, I suppose, especially in weather like we're
currently having up here in gauteng, the steam from something like coffee/tea
can really cause hassles if you try use an electronic pouring sensor at
all...<smile>
Secondly, wondering about some or other form of keyring type tag you
would maybe attach to other things like rucksacks etc., and where you could do
something like turn on/off a motion sensor on it with something like a slider
switch, just so that you could, for example, put something in one place, and be
sort of notified if it was then moved as such, and, I suppose something like
that might be useful to both blindie parents for attaching to their children's
clothes, or for use by dog owners, as well as generally using it for maybe
making sure you knew where a handbag, rucksack, etc. were..?
You do already get sort of key rings with little audio beeps they can
emit when you then activate them using a separate form of remote control, but,
just thinking about something with it's own form of motion sensor in it so it
would notify you itself if it was moved, sort of automatically..?
Suppose something like that might also be of interest as a form of
notifier if something like a door was opened, etc., as well?
That one also brings up something that have thought for a while might
be interesting/useful for finding things like keys, coins, jewellery, etc., and
for this (really) last one, suppose some types of toy shops might actually be
the best place to look for something like a cheap/simple, relatively ruggedly
manufactured metal detector gadget? Only issue there might also be that it
would have a limited range/focus area as well, but anyway..?
