I don't think I'm the same Bob. I lived in Charlotte before moving the Chapel Hill. I worked for Keffer Automotive Group in Charlotte and then moved on to Wells Fargo, the mortgage side. ----- Original Message ----- From: George Wurtzel To: blindwoodworker@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: <blindwoodworker@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, February 13, 2012 11:31 PM Subject: [blindwoodworker] Re: Studs again hi this is george I lived in hickory Nc. for16 years are U the Bob who worked at CVCC? if I was still there I would join your building Party. I would think that a purely placement wall (as opposed to a structural support wall) would be adequately served with screws instead of nails. I will gladly stand corrected if someone offers a sound reason to the contrary, but if a wall’s only purpose is to divide a huge basement into several areas or if a main living area wall bears no structural weight, then why would screws not be adequate? -------- Holland's Person, Bill - "The biggest seller is cookbooks and the second is diet books - how not to eat what you've just learned how to cook." - Andy Rooney - Personal Note: Thought this an appropriate quote after the Holiday splurging!
