Yeah, I thought it might work. I already carry a media player and a cellphone in addition to all the other stuff you need. Though it wouldn't hurt to copy talking books onto the media player.
Somebody intimated the NLS might not be overly in favor of my copying data from a cassette book to the mp3, but I'm not going to put it where anyone elso can get to it and I'm going to delete it when I'm done. This does not violate any copyright issues. It falls under Fair Use, like taping a TV or radio show for personal use.
