Hi Wayne -
Sorry for my mistake. I am hopeful we can make the toolbar accessible with
all screen readers. I wrote both our chief developer and the company that
provides the software that created the toolbar asking for their help on
this.

I will write them again and clarify that I am looking to make the toolbar
accessible with all screen readers - not just JAWS.

I hope this helps.
Leslie

Leslie, when making the tool bar accessible with screen readers, I noticed
in your message you said you would be working to make it accessible with the

screen reader jaws. However, personally, I don't think it is quite addequit

just to make it accessible with jaws or just to focus on making it
accessible with jaws, and this is why I feel the way I do. There's more than

one screen reader that blind people use with real play products. That's why
I think it would be in addequit to just make it only accessible with the
jaws screen reader. If there are not enough resources to make it accessible
with all the screen readers, I feel at least the other commonly used screen
reader produced by gwmicro inc. called window-eyes should be equally
considered, seeing as how there are a great number of window-eyes users
using the real play products. Thank you, for considering making your
products accessible to the blind, because you have a very fine suite of
products and that are very enjoyable to use. Thank you.

Hey Kelly -
I will pass this along to our developers so they can make sure to make it
accessible with JAWS. Stay tuned.
And thanks for the feedback and for giving it a try.
Take care
Leslie

Lesley,

I just downloaded the Toolbar and I cannot find a way to access it with
JAWS, even using the review cursor. When I use the JAWS insert key and F8
to access the Windows toolbar, none of the Applian elements are there,
although I can launch AIM from this list and successfully did so.

Are there any keyboard shortcuts to the elements in the Applian toolbar or
any keyboard commands that could deliver focus to the toolbar?

I really liked how the file was named in natural language so I could find
it easily in my downloads folder.

Kelly
