Gary and Petro,
Yes, BitDefender has various issues with Applian software. The issues tend to
resolve after you run the program, try to access the internet in some fashion
(ie register), close the program, and attempt the task again. Of course, this
has to be repeated each time the software is updated as well. We have reached
out to BitDefender, but they have been unresponsive. It will take actual
BitDefender customers to complain to them in order for them to change.

Hopefully your recordings will work for you today. I seem to recall that
Applian had mentioned issues with a certain AntiVirus program and I believe
it was Bit Defender but lets wait to hear from Dr. Wilson on this.
Does Bit Defender have its own firewall. If yes, it could be that it
blocking parts of Replay Media Catcher 5 functions.
I have been told via mailing list and a computer specialist that the Vipre
Internet Security program is like 98% accessible with screen readers. It is
not free.
Only one part of this program is inacessible and I was told you can leave
this part alone.
Check to see if it supports Windows XP.

Just added Bit Defender to my system and my recordings didn't come out
today. If it happens tomorrow, I'll be asking for suggestions for an a-v
program. The system is still XP with MSIE 8 and all updates, btw.
