Bob I need to know which Replay Music version you are using and with which Windows 7 version. The developer responded that UAC doesn't need to be turned off but with my testing over 10 months ago the Internet Explorer 8 web content were invisible with JAWS 11. ----- Original Message ----- From: Bob C. I probably sounded kind of out of sorts yesterday. I think if I could understand the intricacies of Windows 7 and all it takes to write programs, I would have more appreciation for how hard it must be to keep up with the changes in Windows etc. The tip on using Firefox is a good one too. I tend to stay with Internet Explorer for no real reason. smile. Anyway, I'll let you know how things work out. Bob C. From: Petro T. Please help Bob if you have a solution out there. In my testing awhile back I had to turn off the UAC. Take a look at my tips on the blind Applian site. Do you have that website? The other thing I recall back then was to use Mozilla' Firefox browser. I will forward your message to the developer. The notes I have is Replay Music 3.95 Vista Operating System Users Website page contents launched is invisible in normal condition. Press 'start recording button with spacebar keyboard key. In the dialog properties choose 'open website ..." with spacebar. To view the website page contents you will have to turn off User Account Control within Vista operating system if the website pages are invisible for you. My website is http://www.applian.com/Podcasts/applian-info.html If you have an up to date antivirus program with the latest definitions you are protecting yourself. Windows Vista and Windows 7 are very secure operating systems. Best I can do. ----- Original Message ----- From: Bob C. And turn it on again when finished with a session? This seems like a major flaw in Replay Music. What if I forget to turn it on once or twice after using Replay Music? Applian is endangering my computer . Aren't they? Can you bring this to their attention? I mean . To disable my computer in order to use their product hardly sounds like a reasonable practice. I want to enjoy and trust my experience using Applian products, but this makes me wonder if it is worth it. I own the suite and have bought many copies of Replay Music for friends over the years. It's frustrating to run into constant bugs and glitches in the software. I just want it to work. Thanks for your response, Bob C. From: Petro T. It should tell you must do a restart/reboot your PC and then run Replay Music program. When you are done using Replay Music make sure you turn back on your User Account Control setting. It's their to protect you. ----- Original Message ----- From: Bob C. For the life of me I can't do the simplist thing . Namely, to start a record session in RM. It used to be easy and straightforward in Windows XP and RM 3. But now, in Win 7, I open the program and it refuses to work. Or should I say, sometimes it doesn't . It tells me it can't open the session and freezes when I hit ok. Then I tab around and it shows "stop recording." What is going on? The progress bar is spitting out percentages and nothing is being picked up by RM. I'm really frustrated with this darn thing ! You know I have used Replay Music since version 2.51 With no problems. Is there a tutorial for the Win 7 version of RM? Something eludes me on this. I looked on the Applian site, but couldn't find your audio tutorials. It must be something simple. Thanks for your help, Bob C.
