The At-Large Recorder allows owners who have the SlingBox
hardware device to record tv signal like a VCR can. If you have
the right tv capture card on your computer you can use Replay AV
to do the same for you but not all tv capture cards work and I
was told its a hit or miss thing with Replay AV 8 to get the tv
card to work.
The Slingbox allows you to watch your tv signal anywhere in the
world where you have a broadband connection by using its Sling
Player software.
