World Blind Cricket body announces decisions taken at AGM 

LAHORE, Oct 29 (APP): Some important decisions were taken at the 12th annual 
general meeting of the World Blind Cricket Council (WBCC) held on October 27 
and 28 at the Lord's Cricket ground in London. 

This was disclosed in a Pakistan Blind Cricket Council media release received 
here on Monday. 

The meeting decided that Pakistan will host the Afro-Asia Cricket Cup in 2008, 
to be participated by India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, South Africa and the host team. 

It was also decided that Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka will jointly host the 
4th World Cricket Cup of the Blind in the last part of the year 2010. 

Geoff Smith (England) was elected as the new president of WBCC, Bhawani Persad 
(West Indies) was elected its new secretary general, while Agha Shaukat Ali 
(Pakistan) was re-elected as WBCC director development, Asia. 

The Council awarded lifetime achievement certificates to George Abraham (India) 
former chairman WBCC and to Peter Donovan (Australia), former president of the 
Council for their enormous contribution in the development of cricket of the 
blind. 

Agha Shaukat Ali, chairman of Pakistan Blind Cricket Council who attended the 
WBCC meeting will return home on Tuesday, October 29, the release added.
