18-year-old Samantha Gilley will ride from Chattanooga to Memphis benefiting
St. Jude Hospital.

Samantha has been fighting cancer since she was 6 weeks old and it has taken
her eyesight.

Congressman Zach Wamp helped kick off the ride at the Creative Discovery
Museum, where Samantha volunteers to read to children from braille books.

She will be riding on a tandem bike, joined by a series of co-pilots along the
way.

Gilley adds, "I know what's at the finish line. I know there's kids that will
be smiling. I know there's doctors that never thought I could do it and still
probably don't believe it's going to happen. But I know they're at the finish
line and I'll show them. That's what I'm hanging on to."

The entire journey will take Samantha along highway 41, across Monteagle
Mountain to Nashville, then on to Memphis.
