Lleida winery incorporates Braille in their wine bottles

By Europa Press

LLEIDA, 29 (Europe PRESS) - The winery Thomas Cusiné El Vilosell (Lleida) has
introduced Braille on wine bottles in his last harvest, which will market
200,000 bottles marks Vilosell and Geol, reported today the cave.

That of Thomas Cusiné is the first winery Costers del Segre has opted for this
system and one of the few Catalan offered to the blind can read the label on
which the reference appears in English in Spain since the winery leridana
exports 75% of its production.

Thomas Cusiné, owner of the winery, said that years ago that it planned to
incorporate Braille. "I wanted to do it for social conscience and because I am
convinced that the visual phase in the tastings is very low while the aroma and
taste qualities are more intensity and the blind have very developed," he said.

Cusiné, co-owner of the warehouses Castell del Remei, Penelles, created his own
winery in Vilosell. He began buying most of the grapes to the farmers of the
village, which this year has purchased the production of 60 hectares. In these
four years has planted 29 hectares of vineyard.
