What about using the iPod updater program, located under the programs
sub-menu? If you need more information, please ask.

Subject: [blindipod] problem with ipod shuffle
Hello everyone
My partner has recently encountered a problem with his ipod shuffle.
Yesterday afternoon, it was working fine, however, last night when he tried
to use it again, it just wouldn't work.
We then tried to connect the ipod to the computer and here's what's
happening.
If I connect then try and run itunes you can't run it. If you run itunes
first then connect the ipod once itunes is running, then itunes says
Robert's ipod is in the source list. However, if you go into edit
preferences, and go to the ipod tab, there's a message saying "no ipod
attached).
If you copy material from the library to the ipod, it appears to do it but
there's no message saying "please wait whilst updating etc"
I can go to list items and it says there's a file on the ipod.
If I close down itunes and try and disconnect the ipod from the computer
(using the safely remove usb storage device option on the taskbar) the
computer won't allow the ipod to disconnect from the usb port.
If you just remove it physically, the computer says "computer is busy
cannot remove, try again later".
When you turn on the ipod to listen, there's nothing.
I've run the repair option using the itunes software but this hasn't
helped.
Any ideas would be really helpful because it seems the ipod is dead.
Nadia
