Hi Andrew,

Yeah, setting up your iTunes Store account does require help from a sighted
friend. I recently had to update my credit card info and couldn't figure
out a way to do it withough a sighted person.

Also true that you will need a sighted person to read you the redemption
code off an iTunes gift card, but I've been able to redeem those without
help. Let's see if I can remember how to do it.

Go to the music store in the source list, and then tab twice so it says item
list, then if you switch to the JAWS cursor, you might see different things
relating to the music store like different categories. If you don't see
anything about redeeming gift cards, switch back to the PC cursor and down
arrow a few times. JAWS won't say anything, but when you switch back to the
JAWS cursor you should be able to see more options. Once you find
something that says something about redeeming prepaid cards, make sure the
JAWS cursor is at the beginning of the word redeme, and left click. This
should put up another edit fiels you can tab to. If you tab back around to
the source list, the first edit field is the normal one where you type your
search, but next is the edit field where you type in the code off your
iTunes card. Then if you route JAWS to PC again, you should be able to find
the redeme option and click it. Then a dialog will come up telling you that
however much money the card has, has been credited to your account. Then I
think there is an OK button you can click on.

That sounds like a lot of work, but I have gotten it to work. If you have
an iTunes account set up and someone sends you an iTunes gift certificate
via email, you won't need any sighted help at all.

HTH, I haven't done it for awhile though, I'm just going by what I remember.

Brian
