not using the MS viewer when you use JAWS causes chaos. it often results in either Eudora or JAWS crashing, and sometimes can lock up the whole computer. Even FS strongly recommends that you use the MS viewer.

try turning off the MS viewer under the viewing mail ooptions. This problem has to do with m=jfw 8 reading html I think. When you forward or reply to a mail, you do not use the ms viewer but eudora's own editor.

However, be aware that turning off the virtual cursor (MS viewer) will make jaws skip lines occasionaly when reading messages in say-all.

i'm having a different kind of problem. i am using Eudora version 7.1 with the latest build of JAWS 8. When reading messages, JAWS reads every other line as blank. It's as if the writer inserted a blank line between each line of text. interestingly enough, when I am replying to or forwarding a message, the original message text reads normally. i know that the problem lies with JAWS because this behavior doesn't occur with Window Eyes, or even earlier versions of JAWS.
