Well, that would work if the application data folder were not hidden.
But it is.  Apparently this is a virus that has been around since 2011.
There are programs around which can reverse this issue and I am now working
on trying to launch them to see if any positive results occur.

here's what to do to fix this problem. locate the eudora.log file
whereever you have eudora installed and press alt+enter on the file.
now, you chould be on the read-only checkbox, press the spacebar to
uncheck it and press tab to the o.k. button and press enter. eudora
should now run again.
