I really do like my Griffin Stereo Lapel mic for all around good, easy to use recording. Yes, it does sound a little tinny at times, but, the iRiver won't clip, either. The combo of the iRiver and this Griffin can't be beat for very quick recording. If you try something else I'll be interested not only in how good it sounds but how practical it is to implement.

Which microphones would you buy if you didn't want in the ear or over the ear type microphones?
