Good point. Maybe I'll tweak it a bit each week till I'm at 800 wpm. It
already drives sighted folks crazy at the current rate. Might as well
totally freak them out.

I hate installing a new Jaws because the speech is so very slow.  I push the
limits of my understanding sometimes, and after a while that is
understandable so then I cam move up a step or two again.

I keep speech at the normal speaking default in Jaws since I use braille in
addition and much prefer a slower, more relaxed pace. At the office I turned

speech off completely and used braille alone; when working at home, I did
the same. But now I keep both on all the time. I can certainly understand
the need to speed up the speech if you're in a hurry or just prefer to get
the information as fast as possible. It's truly amazing that you can
understand it at up to 500 words a minute; more power to you!
