Hi,

I didn't get software or a data cable with my vx4650. So I don't even know
what kind of cable to purchase. I guess that's my dilema. I looked at
bitpim once and its not really accessible but it can be used with the jaws
cursor for sure.

Rick

Oh, foo. Of course you can do it. They didn't know what they were talking
about. Yes, you do need a data cable, and the one you probably got with
your software will certainly work. I wish Bitpim were as easy to use as the
software we got from Verizon for contacts management. I don't know what to
tell you about Bitpim, except that you just have to work with it and
eventually it will behave for you. We've got old phone bells and such on
our phones, it's really quite fun!

Hi,

Do you need a data cable to do that? Verizon told me that you can't add
ringtones to thier phones due to lg has them locked to prevent you from
getting anything but their ringtones?

I would like to know how to do this too.

Thanks,

Rick

Just download bitpim from bitpim.org, Maria, and you can put things on your
LG phone. It's not the speech-friendliest program there is, but you can do
it.

Hi Angie and all,

I am interested in these ring tones. Could someone possibly do a podcast on
how to create ring tones? Can I up-load any ring tones to my Verizon LG
cell phone?

Maria
