I got it for a great price, $130, on sale. regularly it goes for around $200.
If you don't mind me asking, what was the price? I'd love to have an external with that much storage space!! Anjelina

Well, I just got a 250 gig portable USB external drive from Seagate and I'm very pleased with its performance so far. You do have to plug it into power it up,
but this is exactly what I needd because it's perfect for backing things up. I didn't even need to install the software that came with it. I just plugged it in and xp found it, just as it should.
Plus if I ever go somewhere i can take all my files with me.

I typically don't like dedicated external drives, and prefer to use standard internal drives in enclosures. Don't get anything made by Maxtor and you'll probably be ok.
