I sort of have it working now. I can connect to the route directory of the ftp site, but if I add a subdirectory it does not want to work. this is a weird one.

thanks,

C

I never tried this but you can always try:

Make a new shortcut to the ftp and put the shortcut on your site as a
download.

And what happens when you put the url in the run dialog?
Like:
ftp://user>:pass@xxxxxxxxx/resource

You are right, but it still does not seem to want to work. I am getting a
page can not be found error. I have no idea why this does not want to
work.

Unless it is something with Go Daddy's accounts that you can not link to
their ftp sites.

I think you made a typing error:
It should be:
<a href="ftp://user:pass@xxxxxxxxx/resource";> click here </a>
Instead of:
<a href="ftp://user>:pass@xxxxxxxxx/resource"> click here </a>

ftp site which work great. This is what I typed but I am leaving out the
user and pass.

<a href="ftp://user>:pass@xxxxxxxxx/resource"> click here </a>

The code has to be something like this:
<a href="ftp://user:password@xxxxxxxxxxxxx/subdirectory";>MY FTP</a>

Hi all,

Just wondering how you can link to a ftp site via html. I tried using
the
normal href link tag but it does not seem to work. I would like to
create

a
link on a web page that would go to a specific directory on my ftp site.
Any help would be great.

thanks,

C
