I use a program called alive mp3 wav converter; it converts various formats
to and from each other and it's very fast, much faster than Studio Recorder.
You can try it out at http://www.alivemedia.net. It's not free, and I've had
my copy for a few years, so if I wanted an updated one I'd have to buy a new
copy; but it's great. Now they even have a program for video; it will even
extract audio from video files, but I've got a program called MPEG Mediator
that will do that.
