hi Kitty,

Can you actually prove there is a loss of quality?   Or has someone just 
said that you will loose quality?  I just want to be clear on this.

I believe that is incorrect. The merge command simply pastes the files
together in a specified order. It is the same as if you opened the first
file, pasted on the second to the end of the first and so on. The loss in
quality comes when you save the combined file into your chosen format. If
you open an mp3 file in goldwave and save it as an mp3 file, the file is
reencoded and some quality is lost.
