Ah. good idea. but how if you only have one mic jac in the recorder you are 
using? I guess you can record comments later on when you transfer.

Sarah, yes, you get muted voice with binaural mikes.  They are not really
intended to record the voice of the person wearing them, but to record
sounds around that person.  If the surrounding sounds are loud, your
talking will be totally lost.  If the ambient noise is not too loud, your
voice will come through.  In general, I would suggest that a person, if
they can, record the sounds they wish with the binaurals, record their
commentary separately with a mike in front of the mouth and mix the two on
the computer.
