What about lower bit rates for most podcasts. At least the reviews could be 22050KHZ and 32KBPS. Thanks Sam
Pam, feel free to send recordings at higher bit rates if you feel it would benifit the presentation. The 96 K is just kind of a rule of thumb.

Subject: [bct] Thanks
I want to thank all of you who sent me messages off list about the podcast in which I recorded my son at the piano festival. When I told him I had put it up there, he said, "awe, Mom! Why did you do that. I messed up in a couple of places." Anyway thanks for the nice comments. I'm really thrilled that the Olympus ds-2 with the binaural mics records things like this so well. I realize the quality would have been degraded somewhat by the time it got to the podcast stage--with the uncompressing, recompressing at 96 kbps instead of 128 and what not, but you got the idea.
