Yes, particularly as I understand that the majority of people with vision
impairments never go out alone (research in the UK about 3 years aog). I
don't know of anyone who's come to serious grief on the roads because
they're blind, but the kind of stories some of us have been telling show
just how easy it is for things to go wrong.

Vince, You might not see it in the headlines that often, but more people who are blind are hit by cars than you might think. I personally know five that have been hit that I can think of right now, one of them killed. Plus I have heard about others. Considering you're talking about a minority here, I think that's quite a lot.
