Hey, no offense meant. Actually, I only heard it for the first time about six
months or so ago.

Hey! We are not uncivilized in Arizona! That expression has been around a
very long time here, especially in the winter when we have all the snow birds!

The Indians are friendly, no more wild west in Arizona, unless you go to
Rawhide.

CRS! Haha! I know about CRS, but I didn't know the expression was used way
out in Arizona. Small world, isn't it?

We tried to connect it to a different computer, no go, but one of us,
either I or my husband moved a lot of stuff to his computer removable hard
drive so I got lucky. I might have done it, who knows, he may have done it in
the middle of the night while he was studying, we don't either of us remember
how it happened that we moved those directories.

I guess we have CRS here about some things. I won't translate that on this
list.

    Just a comment...

I know it's a real bugger when it happens.

Very often, it is assumed that when a hard crash occurs, all is lost.
Quite often though, it is possible to recover the data.

Last year, my wife's hard drive crashed (I mean the one in her computer),
and I was able to remove the drive, connect it to my computer as an external
drive and recover all of her pertinent data.

Rose, hope you didn't loose too much.

    Rose,

That's a shame about your hard drive; makes me want to do a podcast about
backing up, but I don't want to rub salt in the wound, so to speak. It's a
painful subject for you right now, and I don't want to cause any grief; my
perspective is a bit different, coming from the background I come from; so I'll
do it if anyone wants to hear a podcast on it. I am quite sure somebody else
did a podcast recently about an alternative to system restore; that alternative
could be used as a backup strategy, but there are many ways of accomplishing a
backup, depending on your definition and what you consider is worth backing up.
