That's a fantastic idea, Mary. Let us know where to send something.

Good morning again,

While reading Lynnette and Maria's music info, I got an idea. Wouldn't it be fun if all of us musicians or writers on this list put together a talent show for the rest of the group? We could submit one or two songs, poems, stories, something short, maybe about 3 or 4 minutes max, and send the MP3 or .wav or .wma files to somebody who could gather them into a podcast. No intros, just one song after another so everyone can be surprised to hear what's coming. No judging or anything, just something fun to do.

I guess this came from reading about the rehearsal, and thinking back to yesterday when I got a shipment of new compact discs of folk music; I previously had it on LP or tape, so it was well known to me; without looking at the title of each album before playing it, I popped each one into the CD player, and, with headphones on, after hearing the first part of the first track, knew what it was immediately, and in delight, sang it at the top of my voice, along with the CD as it was playing. Funny part was, I had headphones on and couldn't hear myself, so I am surprised the neighbors still live here! Heaven knows if I was in tune or not, but when you get that excited, you don't care how it sounds, But it was so much fun and it is so cool having all this folk music on CD, finally!!!

So, what do you think about a talent show? Are there enough of us to do it?
