YOu hook the end of hte patch chord in to the headphone jack of one sound card 
and the other end in to the line in of the other sound card pull up audacity or 
a soud recorder and hit record on that. make sure your inputs and outputs are 
set right.

  Someone mentioned using two sound cards and a patch cord to record skype 
conversations. I have two sound cards on my  computer. How would I implement 
this setup?
