Oh, Maria,
That is funny! Wonder why the dog didn't stay right beside her? LOL!

Hello all. Since we've been chatting about puppies and getting around in
snowy weather, here is a true story which will give you a chuckle or two.

Many years ago I worked with a young woman who had a dog guide. She was the
sweetest little black lab, and every morning she would go from desk to desk for
her morning hug or pat. . Well, one day I was chatting with Nellie, the dog's
owner, and she said, "you think she's so sweet? I'll tell you how sweet she
is." She proceeded to tell me that one snowy day the two of them were walking
along a rather slippery street and Nellie slipped on a patch of ice and fell.
She didn't hurt herself, but was a bit shaken, so she sat and reached to find
the dog's leash. She could find it, so she called and called her by name to no

Finally, someone came along and asked if she needed some assistance. Nellie
explained what happened and asked if she saw her dog. The lady answered, "Oh
yes, she's sitting down waiting for you at the corner". Well folks, that
really tickled my funny bone, and whenever I think of that incident I just have
to laugh. Dogs certainly have their idiosyncrasies, don't they?
