A check of snopes.com shows that this was accurate, but that the list of medications is about five years out of date and most of the ones noted have been reformulated to no longer contain PPA. It also appears that there is significant controversy within the research community as to whether PPA can actually enhance the probability of hemmoragic strokes. The FDA does recommend that people avoid this chemical, but don't throw out medicines on the list that are only a year or so old without reading or having the label read to see if the PPA ingredient is still present. In most cases, it has been removed.
