for those that want to hear a demonstration of Media Center with JAWS
Professional and narrator, I just tonight listened to a 90 minute
demonstration of Media Center from an October meeting from VIBUG in Boston.
Streaming audio of the demo is available on the website. The blind end user
also shows how he has used a third party plug in to access through Internet
Explorer TV listings from the Microsoft network and then schedule the show
for recording on the Media Center PC. The presentation was totally cool.
Perhaps Larry should distribute it as part of the Blind Cool tech feed.
I run Media Center with both JAWS 7.0 and Window-Eyes 5.5. They both read the guide and the various options as you arrow around. Things are not perfect and if the text you want to read doesn't take focus, such as a program listing, then neither program seems to read it. You can launch Narrator and press ctrl+shift+space and read this info. Finally, as mentioned here, you do have the option of using the MSN remote recording option to schedule via the web.

You can listen to a demonstration at:
This is a direct link to the October 2005 meeting. He uses JFW and he even describes a way to record shows using JFW and the MSN.com TV listings.

HI, I DON'T THINK THAT JFW WORKS WITH IT. THE LATEST DOLPHIN PRODUCTS ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK WITH IT ALSO.
