Do all of you remember who read the original Hobbit on talking book? Allen Hanes! What a narrator!

Mary, yep, that's the one. I am glad to know there is a dramatized version of the Hobbit as well. Do they use the same actors in the hobbit as they do in the Lord of the Rings?

I got mine from audiobooks.com. I bought the Silmarillion and the Hobbit at the same time; Silmarillion is not dramatized, but the Hobbit is. I think both my dramatizations are originally BBC; they are packaged the same, and the Lord of the Rings is 13 parts in a box with four individual sections of 3 or 4 CD's in each fold-out.
