Mary, homeopathy is practiced by taking a set of symptoms, getting a snapshot of the person's health at the time, and finding one of several thousand remedies that may help. There is no homeopathic remedy that can or should be used for a general tonic, they are very symptom specific.

Often, homeopathic remedies can make a great deal of difference for a person, but sometimes, people do not respond well to the remedies or get no effect at all. It is very personal and each person reacts differently to the remedies, which is w hy you take a symptom picture so carefully before prescribing a remedy.

There are however, a set of remedies called the "Bach flower essences that are often used as a general tonic. You would have to look them up and get detailed information for they are also personality specific. A well known one is called Rescue Remedy, amixture of five different flower essences that is very helpful for people having stress or anxiety attacks. It is even good for frifghtened dog guides, not to mention their owners. [grin]
