The r1 was like this as well, in fact the majority of recorders with
built-in mics automatically switch from there mics to whatever source is
externally plugged in.

hi. Well, if Jim Fidler's review of the r09 is any indication of what's to come, I would say anyone who bought this thing is in for a treat! I want one!!! It sounds so easy to use. No menus to go through, just simple buttons to press and it automatically finds an external mic. so Neal, when you do your podcast, you won't even need to stop recording and switch mics. you'll just need to plug each one in and do your thing.

I get my r9 tomorrow, so I'll try to put together a podcast using the internal and some external mikes of the kind that people on the list use. I'll also look at accessibility. It may take a couple days with my wife going through menus with me. I have the manual, but there is nothing like having someone actually perform the actions. I'll try to get this out as soon as I can because I know there are a lot of people wanting to know about it.
