Thanks, Mary.
That's definitely something to think about.

Subject: [bct] Carrying Case for WS300 Series

  Hi all,

The carrying case arrived today and is a bit disappointing. It looks like a
binder with a belt clip on the back of it. It is slightly padded and has a nice
felt cover on the outside, but there is no opening for the controls to be
operated from the closed case. The binder opens up and exposes a small
compartment on the right side, and the recorder slides in towards you. You
could plug in a mike, headphones, and use record, stop and play, but the volume
circle with the menu button in the center, and the slide switches along the
left side, are completely covered when the machine is in the case. So, as a
carrying case, it's fine, but you still have to take the machine out to use it.

I was hoping the design would be similar to the case for the DS2, but it
isn't. I suppose I'll get some use out of it, but not as much as if it had a
better design. So, be warned if you were planning to purchase the case.
