Hi there. I am also a new person on the list, I just am really horrible at
I have to agree with your statement about the 18 or 20 cell displays. I use a Pacmate 20 cell display at home and a PowerBraille 40 at school, and for me, the PB is just way too long. I am considering buying a Brailliant, when I actually have the money, and will probably go with the 24 cell model, since I think it's a good compromise on length.
Has anyone ever used these displays? I've only seen them in prototype and am wondering about their reliability etc.
Great discussions so far.

Actually I'm probably in the minority in that I prefer eighteen cells over forty. More portable, and less tiring to read I think. The bookworm with eight cells would have been a little too stilted I think, but I would love to have seen one. I have a braille lite 2000, and a Braillenote MPower, both eighteen cells. They can both be used with the pc as braille displays, and the MPower can be used wirelessly as a braille display also.
