Hi

I copied the files to cd and transferred them via cd. You could also use a flash card with a pcmcia adapter.

Hope this helps

Donna

Donna,

How did you transfer the recording from the PTR1 to your computer once you
were done recording? I just bought one, and was surprised to learn that
files cannot be transferred using the USB connection.

Thanks,
Jeffrey

Hi there,

I used the Plextalk ptr1 for recording Bonfire night. It was recorded just
with the built-in microphone, as my usual microphone broke. It was only a
mono recording.

The plextalk ptr1 is totally accessible, but it's the size of a hard-backed
book, is very expensive and only records in stereo if you use a microphone
with a pre-amp through the line in socket.

I have gone for the Olympus ws320m as it is very small, fits in your pocket
easily, and will record either on its built-in stereo microphones or with an

external stereo microphone.

By the way, your review of the Sonus digital radio was good. I have one
and really think it's a great product. I'm behind in listening to podcasts
at present, so haven't heard your other reviews yet.

I hope to submit more sound seeing tours etc in the next week or so.

Regards

Donna

Hi donna, just a quick question really when you recorded the bonfire night

thing, what did you use? the recording, like the one for the animal park
was amazing! I've just got an iriver H340 and I'm sort of getting used to
how that works now, I reviewed it using it's inbuilt software, I'll be
reviewing it with rockbox soon, once I figure all the working details of
the rockbox software, the great thing about rockbox is that it lets you
get complete control of the player, you can record using rockbox I'm just
not sure how yet! the thing with the iriver is that it's easy to use the
inbuiltsoftware for recording, but for playback and stuff for
accesibility, rockbox seems better.
