Using the Winamp Linerec Plug-In and speaking on air

Hello Lists!
I downloaded and installed the linerec plug-in into my winamp plug-ins folder.
Then, when I went to use it on my radio station, it did nothing; that is, once
I typed CTRL-L and tried to talk, the system asked me for a URL. I was under
the impression that I'd be able to talk. Am I suppose to only use this plug-in
with the winamp playlists or my own created playlist or can I use it while I am
using MP3's from my own folders, which is what I usually do. It is not very
clear as to what should be done with this plug-in.
Once you have cleared up this question for me, do tell me the steps to talking
with this device: a step-by-step approach.
