When you're not broadcasting live, just run a second winamp and have it play a bunchof audio. This will automatically dump into the stream. When you're ready to broadcast, just dump that winamp, pot up your voice, and you're golden. Hope that helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Donahue" <pdonahue1@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Good evening folks, I'm trying to set up a convention stream for this weekend. I want to program in what I'll refer to as, "Filler content" for when the conventionis not in session and the live stream is shut down. We've talked about this before, but I never attempted to actually do it. I have enough audio to playwhen the convention is not in session. Thus if someone were to log on they'll not just get dead air, room noise, or an annoying message that repeats itself over and over again that the stream is inactive and to try back later. Perhaps if we could offer other audio content when the live stream is inactive, I.E. the convention is not in session this will encourage folks to stay connected and be ready for when the live streamcomes back up. When the streaming begins again the running programming willbe interrupted and the convention stream will be heard. Knowing a little about creating .M3U files I feel like I'm on the verge of making this happen for these folks. I know there is sophisticated Internet broadcasting software that can be used for this purpose, but Icurrently do not own one of these programs. I'd need the syntax necessary toenable the live stream when it comes up and will play content located atvarious other URLS when it is inactive. If someone can help me out of a spotI'll appreciate that a lot. Thanks in advance. Peter Donahue -- No virus found in this incoming message.
